Garlock Style SWP Spiralwound Gaskets
| Custom configurations of Garlock SWP Gaskets have in common a spiral winding containing preformed metal and soft filler material, Inner and outer diameters of windings are reinforced with several plies of metal without filler. The partitions (ribs / bars) are generally of double jacketed metal construction with soft filler material enclosed by the metal jacket and welded to the gasket ID. The rib can be furnished un attached.
The SWP can be furnished with an inner ring to act as a compression limiter and to protect the sealing element from process media attack. |
